Yes this is true! For over a hundred years Chiropractic in Asheville NC has been attacked from all sides but not because it fails to be effective in helping individuals find relief from their suffering. The attacks have come because it is effective and stands to reduce and possibly eliminate a money making industry that is now making billions of dollars in the selling of drugs.

I want to go on record and state that I am not against drugs in principle. There is a time and place for most forms of health care. I also refer my patients out for surgery when conservative care has failed to help them. I personally tell people that if I was in an auto accident and I have broken bones, lacerations, etc. that I do not want to be taken to a chiropractic physician. Please take me to the hospital and let the trauma unit put me back together. I want the antibiotics that will help my body from getting infected. I want the pain killers that will help me sleep and rest so my body can heal.

Yet I believe that we have a society and medical profession that misleading our public into believing that medicine is the best care for all problems. That medicine is the supreme health care. How do they do this? Watch the commercials, look at the bill boards, listen to your neighbors and co-workers. They will all tell you that if you have a pain most likely they have a pill that will fix this. Millions of dollars are spent by pharmaceutical companies to tell you that they have your answer to your problems. Little time is spent telling you about how changing your life style often can do the same thing and effect your overall current and future health with an improved quality of life.
